Communication technologies have become an integral aspect ofbusinesses` operations. They enable them to send and receiveinformation internally and externally. Several techniques can be usedby organizations to reach the members of staff, stakeholders, andcustomers. They include decentralized computing, instant messaging,online social media, and emails among others. These channels ensurethat the message reaches the destination faster and more efficientlycompared to the traditional methods. Additionally, they improve theflow of information and the way individuals interact with each other.However, some of the technologies may require advanced equipment aswell as know-how (Oncioiu, 2013).

Wireless networks are very common in the modern society. They areusually secured through passwords and unique router IDs. However,several technologies can be used to intercept them. The simplesttechnique is sniffing, where information on an unsecured system iscaptured. This can be compared to a customer using a free WiFi at ahotel or coffee shop, which can also be accessed by a person at thefence. It can also be trespassed by spoofing, where hackers create astronger signal in the same area, and user gadgets connectautomatically to the spoofed network. Advanced hackers can crackencryptions and security configurations, and penetrate the wirelessnetworks. Since no system is entirely secure, continuously upgradingthe security structures is essential. Other protective measuresinclude limiting access to the network, use of encryption, andsecuring the router. It is also important to ensure that the SSIDbroadcast is turned off (Oncioiu, 2013).

Several steps need to be followed in developing a new informationsystem. Planning (which is the first stage) involves various aspectsthat will influence the delivery of the final product.
