CriticalThinking

Criticalthinking, also referred to as critical analysis, is a perfect, sensible reasoning that consists of several critiques. However, thedetails of its definition tend to vary in relation to who isillustrating it. The National Council for Excellence in CriticalThinking (NCECT) definesit as a logically structured process of enthusiastically anddexterously abstracting , employing, assessing, blending, andevaluating data that has been collected through observing, experiencing, reflecting, reason or communicating as a lead to aconviction or an act (Kraft, 2016).

Stepswere taken in Critical Analysis

Theprocess begins with the recognition of the problem. This is crucialas it forms the base of finding means that can address the prevailingissue. Serious thinkers must appreciate the significance ofprioritizing and order of preference in the course of makingdecisions. Collection of appropriate facts is essential whilerecognizing the unexpressed norms and values, understanding, andusing language accurately in a sensitive way. Gathering ofinformation should, also, incorporate logical affiliations betweensuggestions. It is from the data that one can draw justifiedconclusions and broad view. The generalities and the deductions arethen put into examination in an attempt to restructure individual’sforms of convictions basing on their broad experiences. Lastly, theaspect of rendering a sensible verdict on definite things andabilities, in day to day life, is the last step within the criticalanalysis.

Howto use the Technique and its Benefits

Whenusing the technique in problem-solving, it is advisable to focus onreason instead of emotions. Evaluation of a wide range of positionsand perceptions while maintaining an open mind to unconventionalviews is also indispensable. I will gladly take in the new findingsand explanations, assess them, and selectively distinguish relevantand irrelevant information. This will enable me to identify differentapproaches that can be taken to solve an issue. At the end of the dayI will have distinguished between relevant and irrelevant factshence, it will save me the time when making the final decision.

BlindSpot and Preferred Ethical Lens

Ethically,I am not good at maintaining privacy, protecting the interests of theminority groups, and putting the interests of others before mine. This obstruction has made me unable to keep confidential informationand maintain respect for personal privacy or proficient material. Itend to intrude into people`s personal life without a justifiedcause. Nonetheless, I prefer the reputation lens which emphasizes onthe values of equality and awareness. The worth in this aspectborrows largely from virtue ethics dimension of teleologicalbehaviors. It focuses on the values and character that the societyexpects from those in certain positions.

Influenceof Personal Values to Decision-making

Fromthe readings, it is evident that personal, moral values play apivotal role in the determination of our goals and conclusions inlife. For instance, my worth for safety has always made me structuremy problem-solving techniques to check on the dangers versus safetywithin the situation.

Applicationof to Social and Professional Responsibility

play a vital role in shaping individuals life, both professionallyand socially. Publicly, one is called to maintain the moral path whendealing with family members, friends, and the community members. Forexample, one should maintain honesty, responsibility, and equality intheir dealings with such groups. Professionally, each organizationhas clear ethical duties to the employees.
